[Message from Pat Salvi]
It is my privilege to express my admiration, gratitude and friendship for my partner, David Pritchard. This past November, David went over the $100 million mark in funds obtained on behalf of our clients. This is a milestone that few personal injury lawyers achieve even over an entire career, yet David accomplished this in less than six years!
In March of 2000, our law firm, then known as Salvi & Schostok, opened our Chicago office and renamed the Firm Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard. Prior to that time, David had practiced for 22-years as a "defense" attorney representing physicians and hospitals in complex medical negligence litigation. His reputation for both legal excellence and integrity seemed to make him a perfect choice as a shareholder in our Firm and the managing partner of our new Chicago office.
The fact that our Chicago office is now recognized as one of the leading personal injury law firms in the City is a testament to the correctness of that decision.
One of the things I admire most about David is that, despite the incredible amount of time and dedication it takes to be a successful attorney, he has always found time to help those less fortunate. Beginning in law school, David was a volunteer student attorney with the Legal Assistance Foundation (LAF) of Chicago. After becoming an attorney, he served for many years on the Board of Directors of LAF, eventually becoming president of the Board.
David currently serves on the Board of United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Chicago. But perhaps his most intriguing volunteer work is with Friends Without A Border, an organization that founded and runs Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Riep, Cambodia. (I know David would want me to list their website should any of our clients and friends wish to support this wonderful organization: www.fwab.org )
Unfortunately, in this day and age, it is exceedingly rare for partners to actually be friends; but somehow David and I have been able to overcome those obstacles.
I am proud to call David both my partner and my friend; and on behalf of our clients and our Firm, I congratulate him on this impressive achievement.
