Mr. Pritchard spent the first 20 years of his legal career defending medical malpractice cases for physicians and hospitals. He specialized in catastrophic injury, and soon became one of the most active trial lawyers in Illinois in cases involving disputes in excess of 1 million dollars. In 1999, he joined Salvi, Schostok and Pritchard P.C. as Managing Partner of the Firm’s Chicago office.
In only six years as a plaintiff attorney, Mr. Pritchard has obtained more than $100 million in compensation for victims of negligence and medical malpractice. Mr. Pritchard has been given the "Highest Rating for Legal Ability and General Recommendation" by Martindale Hubbell American Law Directory, and the Law Bulletin Publishing Company’s Leading Lawyer Network has named him as among the "Top 5% of all Lawyers in Illinois".
Mr. Pritchard is co-founder of The Young Scholars Program of Chicago (summer law jobs for inner-city high school seniors); medical ethicist serving on the Ethics Advisory Board of Children’s Memorial Hospital; past Board President of the Legal Assistance Foundation of Chicago; and visiting professor at The Moscow Law Institute (Russia). Mr. Pritchard serves on the Boards of United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Chicago and Friends Without A Border, which founded and runs Angkor Hospital for children in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
