Leg Fracture While Horse Back Riding Leads to Settlement
In June of 2006, Matthew L. Williams obtained a $285,000 settlement on behalf of Rachel Laxner who suffered orthopedic injuries while riding a horse. On August 20, 2005, Rachel Laxner was on the horse when it unexpectedly reared up on its hind legs and fell back causing a compound fracture of the left femur. She went through several surgical procedures to stabilize the fracture and to repair lacerations with skin grafts.

Lawsuit Filed - Mayor Charged in Fatal DUI Crash
Attorney Patrick A. Salvi filed wrongful death and personal injury lawsuits on September 9, 2003 against David Dvorak, the Mayor of Essex and South Wilmington Sportsman's Club. Mayor Dvorak collided with an oncoming motorcycle while driving drunk, killing the 21-year old driver and severely injuring his passenger, Lindsay Saathoff.
