Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., joins Lake County Flood Relief Efforts

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (July 24, 2017) – Areas in Lake, McHenry, Kane and Cook Counties have been declared disaster areas after being hit with heavy storms last week.

Flooding of the area closed roads, businesses, schools and hospitals and swallowed neighborhoods, forcing many residents to evacuate their homes. To help those affected by the flooding, the Illinois personal injury law firm Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., is joining the relief effort.

Attorneys and support staff have collected cleaning supplies, garbage bags, towels, food, clothing, toilet paper, baby wipes and other goods to donate to the Avon Township Food Pantry in Grayslake. The pantry will share these items with people in need and other shelters in Lake County.

If you would like to donate any of the items listed above to the pantry, donations can be dropped off at the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Office located at 783 Barron Blvd in Grayslake or at the Avon Community Center located at 433 E. Washington St. in Round Lake Park.

Additionally, the Salvi Law team collected books to donate to the Round Lake School District after a majority of Ellis and Murphy Elementary schools’ literary collection was destroyed in the flooding. School offices and classrooms had several feet of standing water. It is not yet clear if the schools will be open for the start of the school year on August 21.

If you have books you would like to donate to the school, please bring them to the Round Lake Area Library located at 906 Hart Road and the Round Lake Administrative Service Center located at 884 W Nippersink Road.
