Illinois Attorney General issues statement on Sterigenics
CHICAGO (February 8, 2019) – Illinois Attorney General Kwame Y. Raoul and DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert B. Berlin say they are “deeply troubled” by recent reports about Sterigenics and “will exercise all available legal authority” to protect citizens. The EPA confirmed this month that the plant is still emitting high levels of ethylene oxide, but is still assessing the risk.
The attorneys of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. are investigating claims against the Willowbrook-based medical-sterilization plant and have filed multiple lawsuits against Sterigenics and its parent company. If you believe that you or a loved one has suffered cancer or other serious health problems caused by exposure to ethylene oxide, contact our attorneys for a free, no-obligation case consultation.
