When I come to work, I know that I’m gonna try my best to help those people in every way that I can. My name is Rob Kohen, and I’m an Associate here at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. Working in this firm, there is a culture of team work and I really enjoy working with the other lawyers in this firm, and I think that that ultimately produces better results for our clients when all of the lawyers can get together and talk about a case. My dad was a lawyer, and so growing up I had the opportunity to see the types of things he did on a daily basis, and every day I would see the people that he was helping. That was something that I knew at a very young age that I wanted to do as well. When I come into work, I’m coming to help people who have had a serious problem arise in their life.

I practice in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death. I’ve been racing my bike competitively for the last five years and eventually I transitioned into the sport of triathlon. During law school, I was actually in a bike accident myself. I was struck by a woman who was not paying attention who was on her cellphone and she struck me with her car. I ended up in the emergency room as a result of being hit by that car and it was a scary experience. Being in that accident allowed me to understand what it is that someone goes through both from the medical perspective as well as from the legal side, and what you have to do in dealing with the insurance companies and trying to recover for something that you didn’t do and you weren’t at fault for. Becoming a lawyer allows me to take the passion and drive that I have in my other activities in life and apply that to my professional life, in protecting innocent victims and protecting their rights.
