Mr. Pritchard spent the first 22 years of his legal career defending medical malpractice cases for physicians and hospitals, and so he has great experience and insights into the inner workings of hospitals and medical clinics. He specialized in catastrophic injury lawsuits, and soon became one of the most active trial lawyers in multi-million-dollar lawsuits. In 1999, he joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. as an Equity Partner.
Since becoming a plaintiff attorney, Mr. Pritchard has obtained more than $220 million in verdicts and settlements for victims of negligence and medical malpractice. This is a milestone that very few Plaintiff personal injury lawyers achieve, yet Mr. Pritchard accomplished this benchmark in just a decade! Mr. Pritchard practices in all counties throughout the state of Illinois, and holds record setting settlements and verdicts in several of those counties. He also accepts selected cases throughout the country.
Mr. Pritchard has been given the “Highest Rating for Legal Ability and General Recommendation” by Martindale Hubbell American Law Directory, and the Law Bulletin Publishing Company’s Leading Lawyer Network has named him a “Super Lawyer” and among the “Top 5% of all Lawyers in Illinois.”
Mr. Pritchard is also a Medical Ethicist. He has published and lectured on medical and ethical issues, and has served on the Ethics Advisory Board of Children’s Memorial Hospital. As a part of his many years of helping families with problems, including children suffering from cerebral palsy and other brain and birth injuries, Mr. Pritchard has served on the Board of United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Chicago, and as Board President of the Legal Assistance Foundation of Chicago. Mr. Pritchard currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Friends Without A Border, which founded and runs Angkor Hospital For Children in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
