CHICAGO (November 13, 2017) – As the Jan. 1 deadline nears for circuit courts across the state to require electronic filing, Cook County court officials say they are well on track.
Civil documents, such as lawsuits or divorce petitions, must be filed electronically by Jan. 1, 2018, according to an announcement made by the Illinois Supreme Court in January 2016.
