“Dance was like my life. I danced a lot before the accident.”

“We were leaving the airport and then the storm blew in and it was very windy, very rainy, and we were seeking shelter. I thought, oh, look, there’s a bus shelter. And literally, the next thing we know, this structure is falling on top of us. And she looks at me and she says, I can’t feel my legs.”

Coming soon, the third season of “Beating Goliath,” a plaintiff’s pursuit of justice.

It collapsed on top of her and it weighed 700 pounds. And so, it crushed her and tore her spinal cord in half.

Very, very experienced doctors who had seen all sorts of terrible, terrible injuries, including very experienced spinal surgeons, described it as one of the worst they’ve ever seen. Her course of treatment was unfathomable.

“I didn’t really see much happiness in my life. I didn’t think that anything could be worse than that.”

As you have heard in our previous episodes, the attorneys of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard have made protecting the rights of injured people the backbone of their practice for more than 40 years. In our next season of “Beating Goliath,” you’ll meet Tierney Darden, a dancer and college student whose life was turned upside down when she was paralyzed by a collapsed pedestrian shelter at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago.

“I mean, because of this case, we all know there was a huge spotlight put on the infrastructure at the O’Hare Airport. This case made changes happen.”

Listen in to hear how Tierney overcame unimaginable circumstances to find hope, and how the attorneys of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard obtained a record-breaking verdict for Tierney, sending a strong message to the city and other municipalities that they will be held responsible when their negligence causes someone to be horribly injured.

“A whopping verdict here at the Daily Center.”

Now she has a future. Not only are the people harmed being helped, but everybody else is being helped in the sense that people know not to do that.
