Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard listed among top three Illinois law firms in 2020 Chicago Lawyer Settlement Survey

CHICAGO (October 15, 2020) – Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. is pleased to announce the firm was highlighted in Chicago Lawyer Magazine’s 2020 Settlement Survey as one of the top three law firms in the state of Illinois.

Each year, Chicago Lawyer and the Illinois Jury Verdict Reporter — sister publications within Law Bulletin Media — examine the top reported settlements. This year’s report is based on 610 Illinois settlements of $500,000 or more submitted to Jury Verdict Reporter between July 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020. Only 49 firms from last year’s settlement survey made this year’s list, with 69 new firms breaking through in 2020.

“Thanks to COVID-19 closing the courts — the number of settlements in the 2020 Jury Verdict Reporter Settlement Report exceeds the five-year annual average number of settlements. Overall, there were 610 settlements with a total value surpassing $1.2 billion,” Chicago Lawyer Magazine states.

In 2020, Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. ranked in the top three law firms in terms of reported settlements, settling 23 cases for a total of $92,742,365. The firm’s top case was a confidential personal injury settlement that resulted in a $20.6 million award for the injured plaintiff.
