Partner Jennifer Ashley receives Lake County Women of Distinction Award

MUNDELEIN, Ill. (October 26, 2016) – On Tuesday, October 25, 2016, Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., Partner Jennifer Ashley was honored as a recipient of the 2016 Lake County Women of Distinction Award.

For consecutive years, a partner at the Lake County law firm of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., has been honored with the award, which is presented annually to women who are chosen as role models and leaders in their fields and communities. Tara Devine received the award in 2015.

The 2016 event marked the fourth annual Women of Distinction awards luncheon. The award ceremony took place at the Double Tree by Hilton, 510 E. Route 83 in Mundelein. Several Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., employees attended the event to support Ms. Ashley.

At the event, winners had the chance to share their stories with other local women.

Ms. Ashley joined the firm in March 2012 and was named partner in January 2014. She concentrates her practice of law in the areas of personal injury, which includes auto accidents, premises liability, wrongful death and products liability. Ms. Ashley has tried well over 100 cases to verdict before a jury. She also serves as an arbitrator in Lake County for municipal and small claims cases. In addition, she is involved in many legal associations, including the Lake County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and American Association for Justice.

Ms. Ashley regularly volunteers at Prairie State Legal Services, where she does pro bono legal work for those who cannot afford an attorney. She has helped many people with legal issues including orders of protection, housing, divorce, and parenting rights. Ms. Ashley is also a trustee of the Lake County Bar Foundation, which is a charitable organization whose goal to allow all people access to the administration of justice.

Ms. Ashley lives in Libertyville, IL with her husband (Mark Nazarof) and their two children, Henry (7) and Victoria (4). She is able to balance her roles as a successful lawyer and a devoted mother, while continuing her volunteer work for various charitable organizations of Lake County.

The Women of Distinction Award is given to women who have made a difference in Lake County and who are seen as role models and leaders in their field and communities. Nominees are chosen by a panel of five women.
