Libertyville Review: Lake County attorneys, judges conduct virtual mock jury selections
LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. (January 3, 2021) – Due to gathering restrictions that have been in place for several months, courts have been trying to find ways to conduct business without breaking social distancing protocol.
Enter virtual jury selections, which officials involved with the 19th Judicial Circuit Court say could be an alternative to the typical gathering of the jury pool, which often sees 150 people or so in a room at once.
A few attorneys and judges tested this method, running two mock virtual jury selections earlier this year, including Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard Partner Jennifer Ashley.
