PEORIA, Ill. (May 15, 2025) – UnityPoint Health, now Carle Health, has admitted negligence for leaving barbed, non-dissolvable sutures inside multiple patients following robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy procedures, instead of dissolvable ones, causing permanent injuries.
Several lawsuits are pending in Peoria County. One of the victims is represented by Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard Partner Thomas R. Mulroy III, who spoke with News 25 Now’s Kent Davis about the case.
