Dylan P. Burdelik is an Associate at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard who focuses his practice on catastrophic personal injury, medical negligence, and mass tort cases. He joined the firm in 2026 after gaining valuable experience representing corporate clients, bringing a strong understanding of how defendants approach complex litigation. He now uses that knowledge to advocate for individuals and families who have been injured.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Burdelik worked at two Chicago defense law firms. He began his career at a global law firm, where he represented corporate clients in high-stakes matters involving products liability, intellectual property (patents), and contract disputes. He later joined a boutique litigation firm, where he handled a variety of tort litigation.
Mr. Burdelik also gained firsthand experience with the judicial process while serving as a law clerk for a Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. During his clerkship, he drafted bench memoranda and observed oral arguments, developing a deeper understanding of legal research, appellate advocacy, and how judges evaluate complex legal issues.
Mr. Burdelik developed an interest in strategic problem-solving well before law school. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. During college, he tutored fellow students in engineering, mathematics, and writing. His technical background continues to influence his approach to cases that require careful analysis of evidence and complex factual issues.
Mr. Burdelik earned his law degree magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2023. During law school, he served clients through the Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic, where he advised entrepreneurs, faculty, and inventors on contracts, entity formation, and intellectual property matters. He also earned the highest grade in Estate & Gift Tax and was recognized as the outstanding performer during a mock trial in Trial Advocacy.
In his spare time, Mr. Burdelik enjoys staying active through sports, hiking, and working out. He is also an avid Chicago Bears fan and enjoys playing piano.
