The Future of Law in the Era of AI

On Thursday, September 4, 2025, Salvi Media will host a Panel Discussion about the “Future of Law in the Era of Artificial Intelligence” from 12-2 p.m. at Gibson’s Italia (233 North Canal Street, Chicago, IL 60606) in downtown Chicago. The panel is presented in collaboration with Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., Thomson Reuters, and Waterville Advisors.

The Panel Discussion will feature TJ Saye, Chief Operating Officer at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C.; Eric Martínez, Instructor in Law at the University of Chicago; and Claire Adams, Manager of AI Engineering at Thomson Reuters. Marcie Mangan, Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. Director of Public Relations and Marketing, will serve as the panel moderator.

The event will bring together legal professionals to explore how AI powered tools like Westlaw Precision with CoCounsel are transforming legal workflows and boosting productivity. The session will also delve into the advantages and pitfalls being encountered by attorneys in the use of GenAI today and risks and rewards associated with it.

TJ Saye is the Chief Operating Officer at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. where he is responsible for the operations, administration and marketing activities. Mr. Salvi originally hired Mr. Saye in 1998 to become one of the first Plaintiff law firm Marketing Directors in the country. Eric Martínez is an Instructor in Law at the University of Chicago and holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science from MIT, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and a B.A. from Florida State University. Mr. Martínez focuses his research on the interplay of law, language, cognition and AI. His research investigates how humans and machines understand and interpret law, along with the implications of these findings for questions of legal doctrine and policy. His interests also include evaluating how new technologies, such as large language models, can and should be used as cognitive aids to legal practice.

Claire Adams is a Manager of AI Engineering at Thomson Reuters, where she leads teams building next-generation artificial intelligence tools for legal, tax, and news professionals. With a focus on applied machine learning and responsible AI, Ms. Adams’s work supports the company’s mission to deliver trusted intelligence. She bridges technical strategy with ethical innovation in enterprise-grade systems. She received her B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law.

Marcie Mangan joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. as the Public Relations Manager in 2016 and was promoted to Director of Public Relations and Marketing in 2020. Ms. Mangan focuses on business development, digital marketing campaigns, media outreach, and press strategies. She has played a key role in elevating the firm’s public profile through targeted media outreach, award submissions, and strategic partnerships. She received her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and PR from Butler University in Indianapolis.
