Heidi L. Wickstrom

Heidi L. Wickstrom joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. in 2018 and was promoted to Partner in 2023. She concentrates her legal practice on catastrophic personal injury, medical malpracticeproduct liability, and mass torts. She has obtained a number of noteworthy verdicts and settlements in her time with the firm, including a recent $75.8 million jury verdict for a young girl who suffered a brain injury and severe physical injuries at birth as well as a record-breaking $20 million settlement with the Chicago Transit Authority.

Prior to joining Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., Ms. Wickstrom was an associate at a prominent New York litigation firm. During her time with the firm, she assisted partners in obtaining many multi-million dollar recoveries for clients; namely, a $15.7 million verdict for the plaintiff in a case against Consolidated Edison of New York; and $10 million and $5.4 million verdicts, respectively, for two plaintiffs in cases against the New York City Transit Authority.

Ms. Wickstrom has also tried many cases on her own, achieving her first solo jury verdict only two months after being admitted to practice in New York State courts. In addition to her trial work, Ms. Wickstrom has obtained countless six and seven-figure recoveries for injured plaintiffs through mediation, arbitration, and out-of-court settlement. She also engages in Appellate practice, having authored and argued appeals in both the First and Second Departments of the New York State Appellate Division.

In recognition of her outstanding legal work, Ms. Wickstrom has been recognized as an Illinois Super Lawyer every year since 2022 and a Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch honoree.

What our clients are saying

“My experience with Salvi, Schostok, & Pritchard P.C., was excellent! They took on my case even though it was not necessarily in the realm of a case they would normally take. They were on top of everything from the get go and kept me in the loop at every stage.”

Ms. Wickstrom graduated from the University of Michigan in 2003 with degrees in Communication Studies and Film and Video Studies. After taking a year off to work for the general counsel of a property development firm, she attended Syracuse University College of Law. During law school, Heidi was on the Executive Board of the Moot Court Honor Society and worked for a boutique personal injury law firm as a law student intern.

As an undergrad at Michigan, Heidi concentrated in a pre-med course of study, with the goal of becoming a neurologist or psychiatrist.

Through many twists of fate, she decided to pursue law school instead and discovered that she could combine her interests in medicine, helping injured people, and law by working on behalf of plaintiffs in the personal injury field.

Ms. Wickstrom says the most rewarding part of her job is being able to engage directly with her clients and their families, and relishes the opportunity to speak on the behalf of those who may not be able to do so.
