Mary Ann Covone joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. in July of 2025 as a part-time intake specialist and was promoted to full-time intake attorney in June of 2026.
Ms. Covone began her legal career in 1991 as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago, where she defended the city and its employees in personal injury matters. After seven years of defense work, she transitioned to private practice, dedicating her career to representing individuals injured due to the negligence of others. Throughout her more than three decades of legal practice, she has successfully tried and resolved numerous personal injury cases on behalf of her clients.
Ms. Covone earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Accordion Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1981 and completed her Juris Doctorate in 1991 at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (formerly The John Marshall Law School).
In addition to her legal career, Ms. Covone is an accomplished musician and remains active in professional organizations, including Sigma Alpha Iota and The Accordionists & Teachers Guild, International. She is also one of only a handful of classical accordionists performing in the United States.
Ms. Covone belongs to several national, state and local legal organizations, including the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. Ms. Covone was admitted to the Federal Trial Bar in 2002 and was active until semi-retirement in recent years.
