Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard to Sponsor Michael Matters Foundation Golf Scramble
Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard is a proud sponsor of the Michael Matters Foundation 4th Annual Outdrive Brain Cancer Golf Scramble. The event will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the White Deer Run Golf Course in Vernon Hills, Ill, with check-in beginning at 9 a.m. and the shot gun start beginning at 10 a.m. Registration for the event includes a boxed breakfast, lunch, an 18-hole scramble, carts, an open bar, skills games, a cocktail reception and live and silent auctions.

The Michael Matters Foundation was created in remembrance of late Michael P. Schostok, a named partner of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard who tragically passed away in 2012 due to a highly aggressive form of brain cancer. Mr. Schostok was a husband and a father, with three incredible children and a brilliant legal career. Within a year of Michael’s passing, his family started The Michael Matters Foundation in hopes of assisting brain cancer patients and their families who need financial assistance during their difficult journey with brain cancer.

The Michael Matters Foundation exists to help ease the financial pressures of brain tumor patients and their families to allow them to focus on their treatment. They support costs such as gas, mortgage, utilities, groceries, medications and travel expenses. The mission of this public charity with exemption status from federal income tax under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code is to increase public awareness of brain cancer and to raise funds to assist those in the Chicago area who suffer from this disease. To date, the Michael Matters Foundation has been able to supply financial assistance grants to more than 180 families that have been impacted by brain cancer, providing incidental financial support for those affected by the devastating disease.
