Matthew L. Williams

Meet Matthew

Matthew L. Williams was named the Managing Partner of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard’s Lake County office in 2015. Mr. Williams concentrates his practice of law in the areas of automobile accidents, medical malpractice, construction negligence, premises liability and product liability. He joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard in 2003 and was named partner in 2009. In 2016, Mr. Williams obtained an $18.5 million settlement on behalf of a child who suffered serious brain injury due to a delay in the diagnosis and treatment of meningitis.

In 2013, the Law Bulletin Publishing Company named Mr. Williams to its “40 Under Forty” list, which recognizes Illinois’ top up-and-coming lawyers. He was chosen as a Leading Lawyer in 2015, a distinction based on a survey of legal peers that is shared by less than five percent of the licensed attorneys in Illinois. Additionally, Super Lawyers selected Mr. Williams to its list of the top personal injury lawyers in Illinois in 2016 and 2017. Mr. Williams also is listed in the area of Personal Injury Litigation in the 2018 Edition of Best Lawyers in America.

Mr. Williams has successfully litigated cases in trial courts throughout Illinois and argued a case before the Illinois Supreme Court. He belongs to several national, state and local legal organizations, including the American Association for Justice, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association. He presently serves on the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association’s Board of Managers.

Mr. Williams gives back to the community through his work on the board of directors for three local charity organizations, including Raising a Reader, GLASA, and the Michael Matters Foundation. Additionally, he has been a speaker at Kellogg’s School of Management’s MBA Business Law class and at Notre Dame Law School’s Personal Injury Litigation class.
